The international wine and brandy Competition is approved by the O.I.V (Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin) and Citadelles du Vin is fast becoming one of the world’s major viticultural events.

Rigour and professionalism
Professional tasters
Without exception, Citadelles du Vin tasters are confirmed professionals who come from each of the 5 continents and speak a common language: they all have a passion for fine wines. They endow the competition with a multicultural dimension and guarantee the international legitimacy of the results. Most of the experts are top level wine makers approved by the O.I.V.
Rigorous sampling evaluation process
Prior to accurate evaluation, the samples are rendered «anonymous» before being classified by category: red, white, sparkling, etc.
They are then scrupulously tasted on a blind basis; each sample is marked according to a series of strict and rigourous criteria: aromatic type, strength, limpidity, development, etc. Jury members leave no parameter uncovered.
Samples are graded individually. The winners are those with the highest marks on a score from 1 to 100, the highest number is considered to represent perfection.
