AWARDS 2025

The latest edition of Citadelles du Vin was held in Bourg-sur-Gironde, near Bordeaux, on 30 March 2025. It celebrated 25 years of existence of this high-level competition, which has been organised by the C.D.V. (Concours Des Vins) since 2000 and is known for its independence and rigour. It is also patronized by the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine).

Organised from 11 to 13 March in Bourg-sur-Gironde, near Bordeaux, the 23rd edition of the Citadelles du Vin competition has delivered a very strong list of winners. Indeed, only Grand Gold and Gold medals were awarded, proving the very high quality of the samples competing this year.

ARGENTINA IN THE HONOUR IN CITADELLES DU VIN 2023!

The 23rd Citadelles du Vin edition will be held from 11 to 13 March 2023 in Bourg near Bordeaux. The international wine-tasting competition has decided to set its sights on Latin America, with Argentina in the spotlight.

MASTER CLASS BONARDA GRAPE IN ARGENTINIAN WINES

As part of the Special Prize Argentina, the country to be honoured at the 2023 Citadelles du Vin, a masterclass on the bonarda grape variety in Argentinian wines was held on Sunday 12 March at the “Les Secrets de Pey La Tour” hotel in Salleboeuf. It was brilliantly hosted by our Argentinian juror Santiago L’Huillier, founder and director of the Bordeaux-based wine import company “La Sélection de l’Étranger“.

EDITION 2022 COMPLETED!

Held from 12 to 14 March 2022 in Bourg-sur-Gironde near Bordeaux, the 22nd Citadelles du Vin has just closed its doors. For the first time since 2019, tastings were held under almost normal pre-COVID conditions.
